Well after driving all over Riverside County looking for the perfect location to take pictures of my beautiful daughter in her white baptism dress, without any success, I finally headed up to Cuyamaca to a field I knew. It wasn't as green as I would have liked but I was very pleased with the way the pictures turned out. She looked radiant in her dress and she loved running through the grasses. At one point she looked at me and said, "I feel like a princess!" How many times in our life do we actually get to say we feel like a princess? I'm so glad that this experience was so meaningful to her despite the long drive and my unwillingness to compromise on a photo background. I am so proud of her and her decision to be baptized and to come unto Christ. I hope that she knows that she is a daughter of God and that she can always feel like His princess!

Bethany & Cedric - Family Photography
This is one of my very best friends and her son. I've know Bethany since we were in the seventh grade! She is an amazing person and an amazing florist. She owns her own flower shop in Vista called Splendid Sentiments. You should check out her blog and see her work!! She came over today for our annual Christmas Baking play date. She really wanted to get some pics of her and her son Cedric as a gift for her husband and herself. It was still pouring down rain today but we managed to find a couple dry places outside and take a few pictures. Bethany was really pleased with the one of just Cedric because he was in the process of changing schools and didn't get his school pics done this year. So happy that she allowed me to be his replacement photographer!
Grandma and Papa - Family Photography
So its been pouring down rain that last few days but my Mom was determined that she was going to get pictures done of her and my Dad and their 10 grandkids. We prayed that the rain would subside but needless to say that didn't happen. So unfortunately we had to take photos inside. Now came the problem of where to take them. So we rearranged my entire living room, took down the wall decor and moved my loveseat to the now bare wall. This was the best we could do in the pouring rain. Not too bad I must say. The harder part was trying to get ten little kids ages 2 months to 11 years to all look at the camera at the same time and be smiling.
This is a much easier shot...Tell a kid to make a goofy face and they are thrilled to participate. Even the littlest one decided to be grumpy and make sad face. Love this picture!!Monday, December 13, 2010
